On 27 June 2025, the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB)published a list of trade marks that are due for renewal, setting a sixty (60) day window for trade mark proprietors to take action. The deadline for renewal is 25 August 2025.

If the trade marks on this list are not renewed by the deadline, they risk being removed from the Register, which could result in the loss of protection for valuable brand assets in Uganda.

• Take immediate steps to instruct for renewal where applicable;
• Ensure their intellectual property rights remain valid and enforceable in Uganda.
