Mr Sylvance A. Sange was recently appointed as the new Managing Director of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI), through a Kenya Gazette Notice dated 20th January 2017. The appointment shall be for a three-year term.
Mr. Sange has previously served at KIPI in various capacities, including the Acting Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director (Technical Services), Principal Examiner, Chief Trade Mark Examiner, Trade Mark Examiner and Patent Examiner. He has been involved in the Industrial Property field for over 23 years.
In line with the Kenya Vision 2030, Mr. Sange hopes to implement strategic plans to ensure that Kenya continues to be at the forefront of harnessing its Intellectual Property laws and bringing them up to par with other leading international jurisdictions.
