The notices of inquiries relates to parcels of land that the Commission had expressed interest to acquire on behalf of the Kenya Railway Corporation in earlier gazette publications. The parcels of land affected are captured in pages 603 to 627 of the Kenya Gazette referred to above and all interested persons are required deliver to the Commission; a written claim to compensation, copies of their identity card, KRA PIN Certificates, land ownership documents and bank details on or before the day of inquiry.

As for the notice of intention to acquire land, affected persons are advised to inspect the plans for the affected parcels of land during office hours at the offices of the Commission at Ardhi House, 3rd Floor and the County Coordinators Offices at the four (4) affected counties. The parcels of land affected by this notice are captured in pages 592 to 602 of the Kenya Gazette referred to above.

The Commission will after at least thirty (30) days of publishing this notice to acquire land appoint a date for inquiry to hear issues of proprietary and claims for compensation by persons interested in the land. This notice shall be published in the Gazette at least fifteen (15) days before the inquiry and a copy of such notice served on every interested party.
