Qualifications

  • Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies), Mount Kenya University

Patricia is an Associate in our Corporate & Commercial and Intellectual Property teams.

She assists in filing and maintaining of trademarks, patents, industrial designs, utility models, plant varieties and copyright in Kenya, Somaliland and Somalia for our local and international clients. She is also experienced in the filing and prosecution procedures in both regional and international registration systems such as the Madrid system, ARIPO and OAPI.

She assists in conducting research on commercial aspects of IP such as IP licensing and transfers, franchising and general advisory on IP rights.

Within the Corporate and Commercial team, she is instrumental in the preparation of legal opinions on business set-up as well as the review of commercial contracts.
