Our dispute resolution practice provides both litigation and ADR support. The team has been involved in several high-profile disputes involving corporate, government and private clients.

The team has considerable experience prosecuting, defending, negotiating and settling disputes from a wide range including; intellectual property, employment and labour relations, commercial disputes, real estate, banking, debt recovery, constitutional issues, environment matters, elections, retirement disputes, tax, estate planning and succession, public procurement, and co-operative societies.
Apart from representing our clients at the Court of Appeal, High Court and Magistrates Courts, we regularly represent clients in various tribunals such as the Public Procurement Review Board, Customs and Excise Appeals Tribunal, Environment Tribunal, Industrial Property Tribunal, Political Parties Disputes Tribunal, Retirement Benefits Tribunal and Co-operative Tribunal.

- Involved in a retirement benefits suit against a telecommunications company where former employees were awarded approximately KES 7 billion (approx. US$ 70 million).
- Participated in high-profile arbitration proceedings between an architectural firm and a client in a dispute of over KES 100 million (approx. US$ 1 million)
- Involved in a highly contentious suit at the Court of Appeal that set the precedent regarding the right to appeal from the Retirement Benefits Tribunal to the Employment and Labour Relations Court.
- Successfully defended an international logistics company in a high-stakes industrial case.
- Acting for a local food production company at the Kenyan Customs & Excise Appeals Tribunal, on its appeal against the reclassification by the Kenya Revenue Authority of customs code tariff classification in contravention of the World Customs Organisation’s recommended classification.
