Pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the Kenya Bureau of Standards (“KEBS”) and the Courier Industry Association of Kenya (“CIAK”), KEBS has revised its Destination Inspection fees for shipments using courier services.
The MOU, which relates to importation using courier services, still requires any courier shipment with a customs value above Ksh 500,000 (approximately US$ 5,000), to undergo mandatory pre-inspection and receive a Certificate of Conformity (COC), prior to shipping.

Please note that the new fees are applicable for inspection services from 16th February 2020.
